Card-a-Copia: Spring Greetings!

I don't actually celebrate Easter, but there's nothing wrong with a super cute Spring card, right?  (It is also quite handy to have a SPRING card to send since today is Easter Sunday!)  This image comes from A Day for Daisies --- love it!

Inks:  Copics, Groovy Guava (Stampin' Up!), "Tea Dye" Distress Ink (Ranger)
Paper:  I Do "Gerber Daisies" (American Crafts), Peachy Keen "My Oh My" (American Crafts)

May the (stale) Peeps be with you!

Card-a-Copia: Gnome Time and Time for You

I created this little gem from a Birdie Brown digital image called Gnome Boy - Fall.  I know it isn't Fall, but Fall is my favorite season and since Spring just isn't interested in hanging out here in Seattle, I went with something I like!

Only three weeks until Spring Break.  I'm so ready!  I bought myself a Workbox from The Original Workbox and have set aside an entire day to put it together.  (Add in the ungodly amount of time it took to get the five hundred pounds of incredibly heavy materials from the pallet that was dropped off in my driveway, and the whole process will have taken a minimum of three weeks to assemble!!)

Stamp:  Gnome Boy - Fall (Birdie Brown)
Inks:  Copics, More Mustard (Stampin' Up!)
Paper:  unknown Bo Bunny
Misc.:  ribbon (Michael's), wooden bird (Studio Calico), sentiment (computer generated)

I created this little card for a design team application.  A Day for Daisies designer, Sami, has some really cute images.  I paper-pieced the garment on this image and inked the flower to match the paper.

Stamps:  Comfy Coacao (A Day for Daisies)
Inks:  Copics
Paper:  green and black (Core d'inations), pattern (KaiserCraft)
Misc.:  ribbon (Michael's), flower (Prima), pearls (K & Co.), sentiment (computer generated)

Card-a-Copia: Birthday Wishes a la BirdieBrown

Just a quick post to show the 5 1/2" X 5 1/2" birthday card I created for my niece's birthday coming up in a few weeks.  I used one of my favorite artist's images (Torico/BirdieBrown) and lots of COLOR!  I'm entering it into her birthday card challenge.

The main focal image is embedded in the openings on the front.  Some of the circles from the patterned paper were cut out and added to the card to give the whole thing more dimension.  I colored the robot and then added Glossy Accents to make her look like she's fresh off the assembly line!

I added the sentiment and the heart before I printed out the image.

I'll update later with the patterned papers I used.

Stamp:  Robot With Balloon (BirdieBrown)
Inks:  Copics
Papers:  green and black (Core'dinations)
Misc.:  Glossy Accents (Stampin' Up!), rhinestones (Michael's)

Card-a-Copia: Eat Cake Graphics Bonanza

I've gotten behind in posting some of my Eat Cake Graphics design team creations, mostly because my stamp room is such a disaster area.  I will now make up for lost time by putting ALL of them in this post, although I don't have all the information for them.  Also, I don't have Photoshop on this computer and had to edit the cards in Picnik, which was less than successful.

Card-a-Copia: Calendar Pages and a Baby Card

I realize I say the same thing every time I post after an extended absence, but my life is out of control!  I have had little to no interest in crafting and am plumb worn out after I get home from work.   And then it's more work with the dogs.  Calgon, take me away!

I am facilitating an acrylic calendar class next month.  My first few images are the pages of the calendar.  (Sorry about March...I didn't have much "luck" with the photo!)

I made the calendar pages and used all kinds of stuff from my stash.  (I'll mark things I can remember or still have identifiers for and update when I realize another thing I used!)

Card-a-Copia: Back to School

The guy I am in teacher-lust with will be teaching elsewhere this year, which makes me very sad.  When I grow up as a teacher, I want to be him.  I made this little card to wish him well this school year.  It didn't photograph very well, but I think it'll look better if you click to view it.

Stamps:  Pencil Girl digi stamp (Sassy Cheryl)
Inks:  Copics
Paper:  Summer Sun, Bordering Blue, and Basic Black (Stampin' Up!), orange (Core d'inations)
Misc.:  ribbon (unknown), computer-generated sentiment

School begins in two days.  Where did the summer go?  I swear, once I turned 40, I lost all my motivation.  This getting old really sucks.  And on that note, I leave you crafting teachers with this little thought:

Card-a-Copia :Ain't No Cure for the Summertime Blues

Where did my drive go?  I have no energy to do anything of consequence, no creativity, no interest in a book, no nuttin'!  I eeked out two cards today and ran a load of laundry.  Good lord!

I'm running out of summer...one week left of freedom.  I was in the classroom last week to get somethings ready and enjoyed chatting with students, but I wish I had more free time.  How can two months go by so quickly?

Here's the first of my designs:
Stamps:  Daphne on Her Floatie Bear (Eat Cake Graphics)
Paper:  Barefoot & Bliss (BoBunny), orange (Core d'inations), Summer Sun (Stampin' Up!)
Ink:  Tuxedo Black (Memento), Copics

And here's the second, a 70th birthday card for my mom:

Paper:  Caroline Pennyroyale Collection (Kaisercraft), Cameo Coral and Chocolate Chip (Stampin' Up!)
Ink:  Copics, Creamy Caramel (Stampin' Up!)

Finally, a little something to cap off the post today:

So this is what it feels like to have free time...
